Space and Time
Hello, everyone!
Welcome back to my blog. How’s life? I hope all of you feel good. Especially today we must at war with corona virus.
Welcome back to my blog. How’s life? I hope all of you feel good. Especially today we must at war with corona virus.
Well, today I want to tell you about space and time.
Do you ever hear space and time?

According to Lexico dictionary, time
and space regarded as a single entity; specifically = "space-time".
The origin of time-space is early 19th century; earliest use found in Samuel
Taylor Coleridge (1772–1834), poet, critic, and philosopher. From time + space.
Time is a scale to measure the amount of
"change" in events or happenings around us. Well since 19th century
we believed that rate of change of time will be same or equal for any observers
no matter wherever they are or whatever their position is. Space is a 3 dimensional "room" or "emptiness" where the above said events are happening. Space is thought to be independent of the time since 19th century.

Philosophy
of space and time is the branch of philosophy concerned
with the issues surrounding the ontology, epistemology, and character of space and time. While such ideas
have been central to philosophy from its inception, the philosophy of space and
time was both an inspiration for and a central aspect of early analytic philosophy. The subject focuses on a number of basic issues, including
whether time and space exist independently of the mind, whether they exist
independently of one another, what accounts for time's apparently
unidirectional flow, whether times other than the present moment exist, and
questions about the nature of identity (particularly the nature of identity over
time).

By the start of 20th
century Einstein with his new theory of relativity has shown that time is a space
dependent quantity which was totally against the notion of our concepts about
the nature. He stated with his theory that “The amount of time it takes for a
same event to occur will be different for different observers". So that he
claimed no same event can occurs simultaneously for different observers.
Since experiments
confirmed his theory to be true the concepts of space has changed. Then on we
refer the "space" around as "space-time ". Space time is
the continuum where events are in fact happening. So the reality has changed
from a three dimensional holographic thing to a four dimensional space time (3 special
dimensions and one time direction).
This is the video to more explain about time and space. Enjoy!
